dont know user audience experience skills level, OS, version, or anything

was given limited information, have project due ASAP,

need to give tutorial demo webcast (i.e. MS Word tutorial)

(recent recovery from chemo/brain surgery) intimidated by cam ...want to dazzle with my presentation

have found myself countless hours of not being able to organize effectively.

have MCP cert. ID,

want quick use of templates and demos if available to save time.

just got lost in discovering all cool new software products, i.e (visio, onenote, publisher, sharepoint, live, workspace, groove, !!!!!!!!!!!!

now dont know where to start please please please help

How to make Office Live see that Office 2007 is installed?

Hello!
Office Live does not show the "Edit" button for Office files on a Windows 7 x64 with Office 2007. It does show the button on Windows XP x86 with Office 2003.

How to make Office Live see that Office 2007 is installed?

Office Live only seems to work with Internet Explorer. Even then, I am having difficulty seeing all the options. For example, I cannot see the entire "share a document" screen when trying to add editors or viewers. I cannot see the option to send an email and a message.

Therefore, I feel fairly certain that Chrome will not work, no matter what version you are using.

Now that I think I know what you are talking about - I got some bad news.

Office Live Workspace works with the most commonly used browsers, including:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Mozilla Firefox on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista and 7, or Mac OS X 10.2.x and later.
Safari 3 and 4 on Mac OS X 10.2.x and later.

We received product key number for office trial but we were informed we must first activate workspace - nothing happened when we tried to do so. Any suggestions please. Also the product key supplied was not accepted by the computer.

Word docs not saving anymore direct to office live

Until recently on my new windows 7 laptop saving word docs (I have office 2007) was a simple as pressing the big round button and asking the save to be straight to my office live space. This has suddenly stopped working and all it does is save somewhere on my hard drive.

I have run the automatic repair tool (did not repair) and also reinstalled the connector. Any help would be appreciated.

It is such a shame because I was using google docs for the last two years and with the new laptop I thought I'd give live office a try and was loving using it. Typical Microsoft I am afraid to say.

Thanks for your prompt answer.

But doesn't that mean I have to give every Tom, and Harry rights to the document in question. Also doesn't it have to reside in the Documents folder and not in one of my own folders? And what if Tom, and Harry don't have a Live ID, or are shielded off of MS Passport by a firewall or other policy?

Emails for shared documents

Hi,

I am able to share the documents, although no email is generated telling the peron I have done so.

What am I doing wrong??
