using outlook contacts for emai addresses

Does OFFICE LIVE ADD-IN connect to the outlook address book. I can't find find out how to do that and need to type in the address each time I want to share a document. I would appreciate some advice.

No, Office Live Add-in does not connect to your Outlook address book.  Instead Office Live connects to your Windows Live contacts (if you have any loaded).  Windows Live is a separate servce that Microsoft provides.

You can get your contacts into Windows Live either by using the Outlook Connector to sync the contacts from Outlook on your computer to your Wndows Live account or by importing your Outlook contacts.  Quoted from Microsoft's help file:

    1. Before you can import your contacts into Windows Live, you must first export them to a CSV file from Outlook.
    2. Sign in to the Windows Live Hotmail website with your Windows Live ID, and then click People.
    3. At the top of the page, click Manage.
    4. Click Import.
    5. Under Option 2: Import from a file, select the e-mail program or service that you want to import your contacts from.
    6. To find the file that you want to import, click Browse.
    7. Locate the file, and then click Open.
    8. Click Import contacts.
