I use Office Live to share a number of documents, primarily Word documents, between home and work.  Recently I have had a problem particulary at work where documents open as Read Only.  (It says so in the title bar.)  I do not get a message this is going to happen, and I don't get the option (as some posts on this topic have suggested) to ask for a notification when the document is available for editing.  There is only one person with access to the workspace these documents are in, and that is me.  I always close out of the documents at work or home before leaving for home or work.  What might be causing this to happen?  How can I get Word to open my documents without Read Only turned on?

I tried the instructions in that link on my Windows 7 machine.  The problem still occurs; documents in an Office Live workspace open as Read Only.  This is now happening on both my Windows 7 and Vista machines, but not my Windows XP system (yet).  Any other suggestions?

I was hoping that it was going to work.

Now the only advice I can give is that you should work with Workspace Support. They are really good. They helped me solve a couple of problems.

I have exactly the same problem, but on a Mac with Word 2008. Hope somebody finds an answer...
