When I travel for business or for pleasure, one of my biggest worries is arriving at my destination without something I really need. And I know I’m not alone. That’s why I think the workspace travel template we’ve put together is such a great idea. It has checklists and itinerary logs and more – all designed to de-stress travel planning.

In case you aren’t familiar with our workspace templates, they are basically themed workspaces that we’ve pre-populated with documents and tools. The travel workspace template comes with the following items:

·         Business Trip Itinerary – This is a convenient form you can fill in with details of your trip (departure times, flight numbers and the like). Plus there’s a place to input meetings and events you have scheduled each day, including fields to add contact information for people you’re meeting with.

·         Packing List – This is a great help for folks like me who obsess about forgetting things. List the items you want to bring, plus any notes to yourself, and when you’ve packed it, you can check it off. You can easily export the list into an Excel spreadsheet and print it out too.

·         Personal Data Form – If you’ve ever had your wallet stolen or been hospitalized during a trip – or worry that you might – you’ll immediately see the value of this form. It has fields for all the things you may need to know while traveling, but don’t have memorized. Phone numbers to call if your credit cards or traveler’s checks are stolen; your blood type and insurance information in case you’re hospitalized; passport number; the quoted rate for your rental car – and lots more. Print a copy to take with you, and leave one behind with a friend or family member.

·         Travel Checklist – How often do you find yourself jotting down things you need to do before you leave town? Pick up medicine. Call the kennel. Stop your mail. This form will help you keep track of all those tasks and check them off as you complete them.

So it’s pretty apparent how useful these lists and forms can be. But the best part is you’ve got them all together in one central location online – not scribbled on random sticky notes posted here and there around your house or office. It’s also worth mentioning that you can share the workspace with family or travel partners. And of course, you can always add additional documents.

To start using the workspace travel template, sign in to your account and in the left panel, click New Workspace, and then click Travel Workspace. It’s that easy!
