Since you’re already into workspaces, you may be curious about the broader “cloud computing” scenario and where it’s all heading. So I wanted to point you to a recent guest post by Microsoft Senior VP Chris Capossela that you can find on the GigaOM site. Chris has interesting things to say about how the whole software-and-services trend may play out in the coming year in businesses large and small... You might come up with even more ways to use workspaces—like maybe at work! Read Chris’s post

Very interesting.  We (the service desk group) are using live workspace to share project documents and our various support documents.  While we do have a Sharepoint 07 server and shared drives, the dual firewalls prevent us from accessing outside the spectrum of our network.  A lot of us will work from the field and @home sometimes which makes this a great product for us.  Anything that eliminates our funky VPN process is great

I would have to agree totally about “cloud computing”.  It seems “Office Live Workspace” just scratches the surface at what “cloud computing” is all about.
