I share your passion for photography also. I hope what I have to say here helps you.

I am using Firefox and the header graphic takes a bit too long to load. The header and the main image are a bit clashy..

You need a footer on each page so people know how to reach you.

I was thinking maybe if you have a contact page then having "contact us" on every page is a bit much..

The left navigation panel...is it supposed to do anything?? Usually the when we use a "left and top" panel..the left side will open the subcategories.

Most of the Children Portraits are not loading quickly for me.

I am a bit confused with the nav. You have categories and then a portfolio???

You have links on your images. Brings up a 404 Error page.

overall I think you are on the right track...but the images are too big and they need to load within 8 seconds.
