    Office Live 365

I am really curious how this is going to go over? Personally if I am going to have to pay for web hosting but am not allowed to use any type of scripting then what's the point of even hosting web sites? Microsoft created one of the most popular scripting languages in use today but thier customers can't use it? Or any other script that thousands of other providers host every day? Just puzzles me. My personal site is on GoDaddy. And for $4.99 a month I can get 5 pages, Google credits (search upgrades), Facebook credits (Ad upgrades), 5 E-Mail addresses, my Domain, Photo Album, File Sharing,DNS Manager, Statistics and 24/7 support that actually answers your questions. And not just send a canned E-Mail. ie... "We do not support this, thank you, good bye" I realize it's free now but there aren't many sites today that do not use some type of scripting. The company I work for just paid a fortune for a website that ran great on a Microsoft Web Server. But now it's going to have to be re-written to work on Microsoft's Office Live Webserver?  Seems I heard they did that for security reasons but I would imagine they have fairly decent Firewalls and Monitoring. Not complaining, just thinks it's kind of ironic.

    Mike,

I'm not sure what "scripting" you mean. MSFT hasn't invented any client side scripting language and they don't allow open access to add their server side scripting on any of their hosted services. There are ways to add javascript to a 365 site just as there were in OLSB.

Adding code to the 365 public site

MSFT describes 365 as a "hosted" rather than a "hosting" environment which I think means its primary purpose is to give you access to their software online, rather than offer just a place to host your web site. OLSB was the other way round-a place to host your site with more limited access to MSFT software.
