3 Windows Live Accounts: How to Integrate them Into a Functioning Web Experience

    Hello:

Much of my learning has been hit and miss--as is the the case with any novice. I feel I'm getting the hang of it now.  However, I have three blogs sites under 3 different e-mails addresses:  accounts-pnr@cox.net, PHXWebLatino@Live.com and PHXWebLation@hotmail.com.

I would like to use each of the sites that these e-mail User Names provide be for 3 distinct--but inter-related blogs-to provided different content emphasis.  For example:  one blog would be for my editorials; the second blog would be for a community calendar (and can I give persmission for selected users to directly add information to the calendar; what's the best method to implement such a concept) and finally, the third site would be a community blog site for specific discussion boards (it's my way of gathering research on creating consumer Internet-based informational products for entrepreneurs that want their own business).

What can you recommend?  Any information on integrating the 3 sites into a cohesive, simple to use  community resource vis a vis links would be most welcom.

And can I use "Writer" for all of the "blog" websites?

    Thank you.

    Paul N. Rubi

    Paul,

First you may want to edit the email addresses you posted here.  This is a public website and the spammers love to send robots to seek out new ones.

Your last question, yes, you can edit three blogs in one WLWriter desktop.  At least I am currently doing two.  Each will preserve its own look in Writer.

I think if I were approaching the three tasks you mention, I would first try to do them all in a single blog, "Blog" for the editorials, "Groups" for the forums and "Calendar" for the calendar.  I have not done all of these, but in the ones I have done, it has been possible to set different "Permissions" for each thing.  This would be easier to manage and also easier for your visitors to move among the segments.  If it doesn't work out, you can always change it.

    Hi!

Thanks for the help.  A few more questions:

    1.  WLW is that available to use in the Office Small Business environment when building a web page?

    2.  If I uses WLW in Windows Live Spaces, I would connect my blogs to my main website in Office Small Business with hyperlinks, right?

    3.  Can you give me an example of "permissions?"

    4.  I use my 3 e-mails to log-into different accounts.  Is it possible to have more than one "Space" blog using only one e-mail account?

    1. I truly wish it was possible and have suggested such a tool in this forum.  If not Windows Live Writer, then Office Live Writer.
    2. You can actually embed your Live Spaces blog on a page in your website.  I also provide links directly to the blog on my sites.  The embedded blog can be indexed by search engines so you gain a little kick there.  Examples below.
    3. You can set permissions for who can view your blog, who can comment, who can view photos, etc.  This can range from everyone on the planet to your invited network or a specific group.
    4. Like OLSB, I believe each WLSB must have a different Windows Live ID.

I would suggest setting one up and explore around the Spaces platform.  All of this will become easier to understand when you can see it.  If it doesn't suit you, there is no harm done.  Play around with the formatting tools, fonts, colors, themes, etc.  You can create a blog that matches your site.  Some examples:

    http://office-live-skills.com/skillsblog.aspx

    http://fidalgoweather.net/crossings.aspx

    http://oldesigntips.com/blog.aspx

    http://solutionsforofficelive.com/default.aspx

    And the corresponding Spaces sites:

    http://fidalgoweather.spaces.live.com/

    http://officelivedesigntips.spaces.live.com/
