I wish to change both, how do I do so from my account? I have tried Account Management but there is no location to do so from there. Help!

    Hi!

In order to reset the Password associated with your Windows Live ID, you may follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Visit http://officelive.com
    • Click Sign in on the top right corner of your Microsoft Office Live web page.
    • Click "forgot your password" link.
    • Enter your Windows Live ID, type the characters you see in the Picture box, and then click Continue.
    • On the Next Page, you might get two options.

Use my location information and secret answer to verify my identity.

Send password reset instructions to me in e-mail.

    • If you select the first option then, In the Country/Region list, select your country, select your state, and then type your ZIP code or postal code.
    • In the Question area, type the answer for your Secret question.
    • Click Continue.
    • Enter and confirm a new password, and then click Continue.
    • If prompted, enter an alternate e-mail address and then click Continue or click Skip to bypass this step.
    • Once you have changed the password, click Sign in to Windows Live.
    • Sign into your Microsoft Office Live account using the new password.
    • If you select the e-mail address where you want the reset password link to-be sent and then click Continue.
    • On the confirmation page, click OK.
    • Sign into that email account where you have sent the reset password link.
    • Open the reset password e-mail and click on the link.
    • Follow the online instructions accordingly.
    • Once you have changed the password, click Sign in to Windows Live.
    • Sign into your Microsoft Office Live account using the new password.

However, note that if you are receiving the Send password reset instructions to be sent to your Windows Live ID then, you will need to contact the Support Team of Microsoft Office Live

However, I would suggest you not the change the Windows Live ID of your Microsoft Office Live account as it may corrupt the functionality of your account. If you do not want to sign in to your Microsoft Office Live account using the original Windows Live ID then, you can provide the permissions to another user account and access your Microsoft Office Live account. In order to do so, follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Visit http://www.officelive.com
    • Sign in to your Microsoft Office Live account using your Windows Live ID and the associated password.
    • Under Manage Your Office Live Account, click Account Management.
    • Click Users and Permissions.
    • Click Add User.
    • Type the email address to which you want to give the administrative permissions.
    • Type a display name for the user.
    • Provide the permission.
    • Type the comments and click on Send.
    • Click Finish.
    • Now, open the email account to which you have provided the permissions, click on the link and verify it

In addition to above, note that if you want to purchase anything through your Microsoft Office Live account then, you can do that only through your original Windows Live ID which you used at the time of sign up. Also, if you want to create additional email accounts then, you will need to sign in through your original Windows Live ID.

If you have forgotten your Windows Live ID then, you can go to http://who.is and enter your domain name and find the domain information.
