When you sign up for Microsoft Office Live Small Business, you receive a domain name. For business and branding purposes, you may wish to rename that domain name.

In this demo, you will learn how to rename your domain, and also:

  • The implications of changing your domain name
  • How to find information on purchasing a new domain name
  • Starting guidance on pointing an old domain to a new domain

I Just want a domain name that has the name of my website, Charishedguitar, and then .com. I do not want any other service such as charishedguitar.art.com. How do I get rid of the .art. part of the domain name?

I just viewed the video on how to change a domain name; however when I go to "Domain Manager" the option for rename is not available.

How do I change the domain name when the option wanted is not available?

Sounds like what they say and demo is not what they offer to us domain owners.

When I try to change my domain name, Rename is not presented as an option. The only option is Properties. How can I get Rename to show up as an option?

I cannot get this to work. I should be under poisedattitude@officeliveusers.com, but it says I don't have permission.  Also How do I go into my websit and edit or add to it.  I can't seem to do any of these things and its very frustrating.  Thanks, Sharon

I cannot get this to work as well. The rename option is not showing. I cannot rename/redirect my office live website to my other office live website and I have already purchased advertising for the new website name that is running now. What a big waste of money for me to have counted on office live. I feel cheated and frustrated. Can anyone help?

I want to continue using the original name I signed up for in 2006 and not the new secondary names assigned to me ??
