Hey Office Live fans: Do you blog? Do you use Microsoft Office? Last but not least, do you want to see the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.?

If so, then we have a contest for you.

To show what people can do with Office 2010, Microsoft has launched a new contest that will give two bloggers the chance to showcase their talents, and to demonstrate the power of Office 2010 to help you get your work done anytime and anywhere. People use Office everyday at home, work, and school. Office 2010 adds new features and functionality that will take collaboration and the ability to work from anywhere to the next level.

The Microsoft Office team, with support from the U.S. Olympic Committee, will send one female blogger and one student blogger to the Games, as winners of the Office Winter Games online contest. The two winning bloggers will report daily from the Games, alongside members of the credentialed press, using the latest Microsoft technologies, including Office 2010.

What do you have to do to win the contest? First, enter by going to the Office Winter Games site before this Sunday, Nov. 1. Then, submit a 250-word blog post telling why you should go to the Olympics, again by Nov. 1. That’s less than a week away!

The top candidates will be selected by a panel of judges that includes Bonnie Blair, the former Olympic gold medalist in speed skating, and CollegeHumor.com stars Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld. These semifinalists will be posted to the contest site, where everyone will have a chance to vote on the winning bloggers to send to the Vancouver Games.

The winners will have access to the hospitality center for the USOC, where the athletes and their families are, and to the official Olympic Media Centers. In addition to spending a week at the Olympics, the two winners also will earn a trip to the International Consumer Electronics Show in January.

Want to see the Vancouver Games? Don't delay. Submit your entry today!

Because I don't know where to post exactly, I'm posting here.

I'm having a problem, and others are having similar problems with officelive.  Microsoft has lost our data that we've entrusted.  Holding people's data is a sacred trust.  And Microsoft can't find the data.  I've been without my data for almost a day, and the support personnel seem unable to get on the stick and even give any idea that they understand what the problem is.  It's everybody's nightmare.

Phone Support was discontinued by Microsoft, and there's not way for the cusomter to escalate the problem.  And the data is critical to me.  The issue in my mind is not a computing issue.  This has to do with business ethics, even fraud.  Microsoft is not doing its utmost to protect customer data, and for sure not doing much at all when it comes to timely and effective support.  Others are saying the same thing.  I want someone the people at Microsoft to understand that this is not a good thing they are doing.  That I want my data.  That I will post on my experiences, good and bad, on the internet, and if this is not resolved in a suitable fashion, I will report Microsoft to the Attorney General of New York State.

I rarely get this angry, but I am frustrated and dispairing that there's nobody on the other end of this line.  Microsoft does not deserve to be trusted with your business or personal data if this is the way it behaves.
