If you are an Office Live Small Business customer who uses the Outlook Connector to manage your email via Windows Live Hotmail, you must immediately download the most recent version: Outlook Connector 12.1.
This upgrade has been available since December, but is no longer optional. If you don’t upgrade, the next time you try to access your email using Outlook Connector version 12.0, you’ll receive a message telling you that you must download the most recent version.
Once you have downloaded Outlook Connector 12.1, restart Outlook to make sure the new version of Outlook Connector is correctly installed.
This change is occurring because Office Live Small Business email users, as well as other users of Windows Live Hotmail, are being migrated to the new Windows Live Calendar service from MSN Calendar.
The new Windows Live Calendar comes equipped with a number of exciting features, many of which were not available in the original calendar, including charms, support for multiple calendars, and integration with http://events.live.com and Windows Live Hotmail.
This new service is supported by Outlook Connector 12.1 (but not version 12.0). The migration process will ensure that all supported user data on the MSN Calendar is moved to the Windows Live Calendar without any action required for the user.
